Procedure:  The diameter of the Earth is about 12 000 km, and the distance between the Earth and the Moon is about 380 000 km.  380 000km/12 000km = approx 32.  Meausured the diameter of the paper Earth and got 8 inches (units don't matter.)  32 x 8 = approx 240 inches.

Conclusion:  The two papers must be placed 240 inches apart.

Reflections:
1.  What else we'd have asked: Did your findings match your predictions? Why do you think most of the people in the video gave approximately the same distance?

2.  What else would you ask?  can you make this model to represent the distance from here to Sydney Australia?

3.  Anything left out?  Wondering how this would be assessed?  Rubric?

Ok so what are we doing?
Question: How far apart should the papers be placed to make a scale representation of the distance between the Earth and the Moon.
